You’re invited! We’d love to have you join ASCD at the Gaylord Texan Resort and Convention Center in Dallas, Tex., on June 27–29, 2014, to explore ways to make excellent teaching a reality in every classroom.
As part of ASCD’s 2014 Conference on Teaching Excellence (CTE), the world’s leading experts and thousands of educators will come together in Texas to share what’s working in schools of all kinds. Whether you are a teacher or teacher leaders, teacher mentor and coach, or a principal or district supervisor, you’ll find information and inspiration; this event is designed to bring attendees up to date on recent revelations about best practices in the classroom, how to make them them routine in every grade and subject, and how to scale them system wide. Topics covered at the conference will include assessment, college- and career-readiness, STEM and instructional practices, and more.
Intrigued? Check out this Facebook album from last year’s CTE to get a glimpse of what you’ll find in Texas!
More than 150 conference sessions will be geared toward participants with varying levels of experience and different positions at a range of school levels. Many sessions are designated with an audience level, audience type, and experience level to guide attendees in choosing sessions that target their unique learning needs.
Attendees may also choose from four pre-conference institutes offered before the Conference on Teaching Excellence on June 26, 2014. Pre-conference institute subjects range from crucial content such as “Closing the Attitude Gap: How to Fire Up Your Students to Strive for Success” to “STAAR, Math, and UbD: Making the Connections to Boost Student Engagement.” Registration for the 2014 ASCD Conference on Teaching Excellence does not include registration for the pre-conference institutes.
