As educators in the 21st century, we know you understand the value of accessing meaningful resources with just the click of an icon. We’re excited to announce that ASCD now delivers just the product to aid in your mobile learning and professional development, and it’s easily accessible at your fingertips. Educational Leadership (EL) magazine is now available for the first time for download to iPad®, iPhone®, Kindle Fire®, and Android tablets and smartphones.
The new app offers users the flexibility to view the magazine’s archives from their mobile device, and the digital layout allows for simple and easy access to in-depth articles and links to key resources.
The app enables ASCD members to browse, bookmark, download, and share EL content, beginning with the September 2012 issue, “Feedback for Learning.” Furthermore, in addition to traditional articles and resources, users of the mobile app will find special video segments featuring ASCD authors Thomas R. Hoerr, Nancy Frey, and ASCD Outstanding Young Educator Award-winner Ryan Twentey.
Educators who download the app will have access to the most recent issue, “Reflect, Refresh, Recharge,” which is available to both members and nonmembers exclusively in digital form. Articles in the new digital issue aim to help educators plan for the upcoming year, such as Will Richardson’s six easy steps to creating a professional learning network or Carol Ann Tomlinson’s guide to a productive summer.
With in-depth articles and extra resources, the digital Summer 2013 issue makes for the perfect vacation companion. Nonmembers may be particularly interested in the summaries found in “The Best of EL 2012–2013” articles, as well as a list of the theme issues planned for the upcoming 2013–2014 school year, which offer a glimpse into the wealth of resources EL has to offer.
