Empower18 Conference FAQ
What is the best way to stay up to date on conference changes?
Check the general information page and Empower18 app for updates. The ASCD Empower18 app will track your sessions and important program changes and features maps and exhibit hall details as well. We also encourage you to follow @ASCDConf on Twitter.
I left my badge in my hotel room. Can I still attend my registered sessions?
For security reasons, ASCD requires attendees to always wear their conference name badge during official conference hours. Badges must be worn to gain admission to sessions, the Exhibit Hall, and the shuttle buses.
What happens if the session I want to attend is full?
Popular sessions fill up quickly so plan on arriving early to secure your seat. For safety reasons, session attendees must be seated; standing is prohibited. We suggest choosing an alternative session in advance in case your first choice is full.
Where can I find presentation materials?
You can download materials from our website or through the conference app, where any available materials for a session will be available through that session’s description under the Documents section. ASCD encourages all presenters to provide presentation materials for attendees to download before arriving at ASCD Empower18. Session handouts will be available for one month after the conference.
How can I get a certificate of attendance?
We will e-mail a Certificate of Attendance to all conference participants one week after the event. Only Pre-Conference Institute participants will receive 5.5 clock hours on their certificate. As an ASCD professional development program participant, you may qualify for academic credit.
