From Rogue to Vogue: Join Us at #ASCDEdSpace at Annual Conference

ASCDEdSpace From Rogue to VogueLast March, #EdCampRogue took ASCD Annual Conference by storm. What started as a conversation among a few educators became a group of nearly 50 conference attendees informally exchanging ideas, learning from one another, and spreading the word about their meeting through social media.

At ASCD, we found this groundswell of educator enthusiasm remarkable. So, inspired by edcamp and atypical conference formats, we’ve created the first-ever ASCD Ed Space at this year’s Annual Conference in Los Angeles, Calif.

Much like edcamp and nonstandard conference approaches, #ASCDEdSpace (complete with its own hashtag!) is by educators and for educators. The content is created by the interests and passions of the people who show up: there is no agenda, no PowerPoint presentation, and no prepared script. Just sharing, learning, and exploring whatever is most pertinent to those in attendance.

#ASCDEdSpace will be available throughout the conference:

·         Saturday, March 15 at 8:00–9:30 a.m., 1:00–2:30 p.m., and 3:00–4:30 p.m.

·         Sunday, March 16 at 1:00–2:30 p.m. and 3:00–4:30 p.m.

·         Monday, March 17 at 8:00–9:30 a.m., 10:00–11:30 a.m., and 1:00–2:30 p.m.

ASCD emerging leaders and professional interest community facilitators will facilitate the sessions to help their fellow conference attendees make the most of the connections and sharing that #ASCDEdSpace has to offer. We hope you’ll join us! Follow the #ASCDEdSpace hashtag on Twitter for more updates and info about these sessions as we get closer to Annual Conference.
